Verbatim - A Drama For Tape Loops (2003) (with Dominic Lash) [installation views] |
A project produced in collaboration with Dominic Lash, Verbatim consisted of a drama-installation composed for voice and tape loops, in which six overlapping
monologues are combined. The text refers to an Object, Room and Person, each one both before and after an unspecified
event. The voices coalesce into a delicate miasma of speech, filling the
darkened room where the piece is installed. The longer listeners remain
with the piece the more detail of the narrative is revealed, its
composition forcing them to adjust to its shifting pattern of
communication.
